What is DAP?

The Data Analytics Platform (DAP) focuses on SPD's interactions with the public.

DAP collects and analyzes data and measures in the following areas: 

  • calls and incidents
  • citizen interactions
  • administrative processes
  • training and workforce management 

DAP takes information from existing data sources, consolidates it into an online data store (ODS) to provide a 360 view of SPD resources and personnel.

Project Objectives

The objective of DAP is to:

  • Provide the Seattle Police Department (SPD) with enhanced reporting and analytical capabilities to meet compliance of the Settlement Agreement. 
  • Operational Readiness and operational support processes will be established to support this product before the final release.
  • Integrate with Data Governance processes established for managing data quality issues.
